Hip hip hooray, it’s my blogs first birthday.

June 10, 2015March 22, 2016 | Emma

So today marks twelve months since I swapped the 4-and-a-half-year-university-safety-blanket for that whole graduating dietitian thing and entered the blogging world. Continue reading →

Porridge en pointe.

June 5, 2015April 25, 2017 | Emma

It’s porridge season, and anyone that follows me on Instagram know that right now I am #allabouttheporridge. Although porridge season for some doesn’t mean the same thing for everyone. Continue reading →

It’s soup season – Thai pumpkin curry soup.

May 29, 2015April 25, 2017 | Emma

It’s that time of year again – wood fires all over the south are in use, I’m appreciating the person that invented socks, ugg boots and heat packs, and soup is back on the menu. The change in weather has pumpkins back in season, making pumpkin soup a price-friendly & any-level-cook-friendly meal to warm our bellies with. Continue reading →

The #newpyramid – at the peak of today’s nutrition science.

May 22, 2015April 25, 2017 | Emma

Monday was a great day. I started my little job at Melbourne Grammar teaching the year nine students about healthy meals and snacks. If you were lucky to be in the world’s most liveable city, you were blessed by an absolutely marvellous Continue reading →

It’s been a pear-fect week.

Recently, a new Coles store has opened just up the road from my place of residence.  Other stores within the area are pretty dismal, and I’m really missing my visits to  the Scoop & weigh happiness-in-a-bag section at Northcote and Burwood.  Continue reading →

Hello!

My name is Emma and I'm an Accredited Practising Dietitian based in Western Victoria.

I am talk-your-ears-off passionate about food and nutrition. I am a strong advocate for a balanced eating pattern - packed full of fresh, whole food paddock-to-plate goodness, enjoyed with a healthy side of moderation.

Breakfast is my religion, peanut butter is a pantry essential and I would prefer to spend money on shoes than ‘superfoods’.

My blog is a mixture of food, nutrition and reflections on the simple (and often food-related) things in life.

Enjoy, Emma xo.
