5 things you need to make a party-in-your-mouth type of salad.

February 20, 2018February 20, 2018 | Emma

For many people, the protein portion of the main meal is the hero. Vegetables, or salad, an after thought. Something quickly thrown together so you feel like you have something else on the plate. Am I right? Continue reading →

October rambles: fermented food & feeding the bugs in our gut.

October 1, 2017October 1, 2017 | Emma

Insert starting line of my August and July rambles, with a shout out to September who was forgotten. I don’t like this ageing thing. Time is passing too quickly, and sometimes I wonder if I have really achieved much . A quick look back at August and my reading/wanting/looking/playing situation is very much the same. Hello!

My name is Emma and I'm an Accredited Practising Dietitian based in Western Victoria.

I am talk-your-ears-off passionate about food and nutrition. I am a strong advocate for a balanced eating pattern - packed full of fresh, whole food paddock-to-plate goodness, enjoyed with a healthy side of moderation.

Breakfast is my religion, peanut butter is a pantry essential and I would prefer to spend money on shoes than ‘superfoods’.

My blog is a mixture of food, nutrition and reflections on the simple (and often food-related) things in life.

Enjoy, Emma xo.
