The reason you may never have a thigh gap.

August 27, 2016April 25, 2017 | Emma

The thigh gap. The thigh gap is up there as with the ab crack, bikini bridge, thigh brows, and Rachel’s bob as a beauty ideal. (Although I do fully support that bob). Continue reading →

Why do we eat food?

August 19, 2016April 25, 2017 | Emma

When it comes to food, we eat food for a number of reasons. Essentially, we eat to support our physical, psychological and social health and wellbeing. Continue reading →

In defence of sugar.

August 9, 2016April 25, 2017 | Emma

Good, I got your attention. I bet you’re thinking I’m just another crazy dietitian defending the poisonous, toxic substance called sugar. Or you’re another dietitian, like me, who also defends the poisonous, toxic substance called sugar. Continue reading →

Why I won’t give you a generic meal plan

July 12, 2016April 25, 2017 | Emma

I’m not sure about you and your profession, but seriously the minute people find out I’m a dietitian it’s like I’m a tourist being bombarded with tomatoes at La Tomatina. Hello!

My name is Emma and I'm an Accredited Practising Dietitian based in Western Victoria.

I am talk-your-ears-off passionate about food and nutrition. I am a strong advocate for a balanced eating pattern - packed full of fresh, whole food paddock-to-plate goodness, enjoyed with a healthy side of moderation.

Breakfast is my religion, peanut butter is a pantry essential and I would prefer to spend money on shoes than ‘superfoods’.

My blog is a mixture of food, nutrition and reflections on the simple (and often food-related) things in life.

Enjoy, Emma xo.
