Back to basics

July rambles: turmeric, tahini and turning orange.

July 2, 2017July 3, 2017 | Emma

It’s been a while in between posts. A long, but super quick while it seems. Right now I’m just wanting to share with you the things that are happening in my kitchen right now. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll see tahini, turmeric, eggs, and plenty of green and orange vegetables. Continue reading →

What should we be eating from this recipe book of confusion?

December 4, 2015April 25, 2017 | Emma

Put your hands up, like this post, send me a snap chat, or even just smile if you’ve ever felt confused when it has come to nutrition?

I’m willing to bet the rights to my blog and say you all have at some point in time. Continue reading →

We all need to calm down: A Sunday rant on sugar and gluten and poison.

November 15, 2015April 25, 2017 | Emma

Two years ago, I would have responded to nutrition related questions, statements and conversations. Now most of the time (there are exceptions. Now for instance), I don’t. As I sit around the table at work, with friends, with family, Continue reading →

Back to Basics: The five food groups & those sometimes foods.

September 10, 2015April 25, 2017 | Emma

I’ve been thinking a bit lately about this over consumption of ‘discretionary food’ situation we have. It really bugs me that the dietary guidelines are blamed for our poor health.  Continue reading →

Hello!

My name is Emma and I'm an Accredited Practising Dietitian based in Western Victoria.

I am talk-your-ears-off passionate about food and nutrition. I am a strong advocate for a balanced eating pattern - packed full of fresh, whole food paddock-to-plate goodness, enjoyed with a healthy side of moderation.

Breakfast is my religion, peanut butter is a pantry essential and I would prefer to spend money on shoes than ‘superfoods’.

My blog is a mixture of food, nutrition and reflections on the simple (and often food-related) things in life.

Enjoy, Emma xo.
